Seeking Keyboards
We are currently a trio (drums, guitar, sax) looking to add the right
keyboard player. We're looking for someone who can can lay down a simple
and groovalicous left-hand bass line, while vamping and leading wildly
with the right hand when appropriate.
We play a variety of tunes that mix Afro-Cuban, Gyspy jazz, world music,
blues, spoken word, and other ecletic influences. We play a couple of jazz standards once in a while.
The focus in on energy, dynamics, and ensemble playing. We play tuneful
originals, jump-jazz blues, wild-and-crazy improv, tribal jazz, and more.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent listener, and a team player.
- Has great timing skills and chops.
- Has outstanding improvistaional skills.
- Schedule-wise, is available to practice 1 or 2 times a week in W. Seattle or South Park.
- Is easy to get along with and to work with.
